FRIDAY GUEST BLOGGER: GERONIMO

In view of the recent raid on the DUMC and how kindness can be misconstrued as something sinister or evil, allow me to share this with those concerned what a little kindness can do.

One day, a poor boy. Kelly Howard, who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal, he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry and so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"

Howard Atwood Kelly (February 20, 1858 – January 12, 1943) was an American gynecologist. He was one of the "Big Four" founding professors at Johns Hopkins Hospital. (The "Big Four" were William Osler, Professor of Medicine; William Stewart Halsted, Professor of Surgery; Howard A. Kelly, Professor of Gynecology; and William H. Welch, Professor of Pathology.) Kelly is credited with establishing gynecology as a true specialty.

He was born at Camden, New Jersey and educated at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated B.A. in 1877 and M.D. in 1882, and where he was associate professor of obstetrics in 1888-89. While in Philadelphia he founded Kensington Hospital for Women.

In 1889 at the age of 31 he was hired to be the first professor of gynecology and obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University and gynecologicalsurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital. During his 30-year career at Hopkins he created new surgical approaches to women's diseases and invented numerous medical devices, including a cystoscope. He was one of the first to use radium to treat cancer.

The Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service is named for him. In 1943 a U.S. Liberty ship was christened the Howard A. Kelly.

The writer described what true generosity is all about.Everything is not about money and power. It all comes from one's heart. But the Jais people was acting as political cronies and they were doing whatever they could to achieve their objectives. This Hasan Ali is a mole of Umno, and Jais is an Umno tool out to cause tension among the community.

Christians and Buddhists charities offer assistance to any people irrespective of race and religion.
Maybe the Muslims have different rules and laws.If so then the social welfare and Jais should ensure that Muslims who need assistance will get all the help they need so that they will not go to other religions to seek assistance. If they did not perform their duties or obligations then they have failed their Muslim brothers and sisters.

There are 2-3 million illegal immigrants loitering in this country. Home Minister Hishammuddin and Prime Minister Najib are now rushing to hand out legal status to them, as 2 million of them have recently registered and granted legal migrant status allowing them to work in this country. Do we really have so many jobs for 2 million more people?

The cheap abundant migrant labour will affect our children’s future job prospects, salaries will remain stagnant with greater competition for the same job prospects. The world economy is slowing down and double-dip recession is looming ahead. Recently the Bursa KL has lost billions of ringgit in a matter of days. At the rate the BN government is wasting resources, we may face bankruptcy before 2019.

If something untoward happens to our economy, how are we going to get rid of these foreigners? These jobless foreigners will soon compete with Malaysians for social welfare. Rusuhan like what happened in the UK will then erupt like wildfire at the slightest provocation in Malaysia!!!!

In the short term BN may gain extra new voters with the 6P program but it will be the cause of future rusuhan!!!

FBC Media’s dealings with the Malaysian government came to light after supplementary supply Bills showed vast payments made for a “Global Strategic Communications Campaign”.

The records showed that between 2008 and 2009, RM57.7 million was paid by the Prime Minister’s Office to FBC Media for the campaign.

Despite FBC Media’s contract, veteran newspaper editor Datuk A. Kadir Jasin’s also revealed that Putrajaya has some 11 press aides working for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak against the three who served Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in his 22 years in power.

My dear Zorro,
"'Kindness"" does not exist in the books of Dumbno. Even if they knew there was such a word --it would be Greek as they can neither read nor write.
They know their period of power is short-lived so they "milk the coffers "'of the Nation dry.
Its difficult to find greats running the country---most are there to laugh all the way to the bank. While the eggs of the "emas" goose have been scrambled--they slaughtered the goose for its meat too. The next meal will be catered from the other GLCs.
Uputras may seem attired in Zegna but their upstairs is always vacant with no takers. The moment they, like Taj are caught with their pants down ,--they don a skull cap to show what angels of mercy they are !!
Thank you my dear Zorro of the way you break the fences to let the breeze on our shoulders for change.
Wish you lots of cheer and good health!Take care !
